I had previously posted this sorry to bore you all with it again but forgot to set up as unsolved mystery!
My Mum has acquired this machine and we would like to know it's manufacture date but we have been unable to identify where to find it's serial number or source Standards serial number records, not as easy as Singer to find.
Any help appreciated, Thanks in advance
I am still going with around 1900 just going on the look.
I'm thinking 1910 but thanks again Fortapache
Hi, maybe this could help:

Thanks Aissia, I have looked there before Im about resigned to the fact it is between 1900 and 1910 I may stumble on the correct year oneday thanks for your time to comment, Greg
Welp, it looks like it might be time for a small-ish fill on this one.
As OP kpgreg73 observed a bit obliquely in this redo post, the Paragon P was made by the Standard Sewing Machine Company based in Cleveland, OH.
You can't see the company name/location in the photos on this post, but you can in this Worthpedia listing for a Paragon P:
https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/antique-standard-model-paragon-3342589311
Paragon was a badge name used by Standard, as well as Davis:

The Paragon P seems like it's similar to the Standard Model W, Wizard Class (scroll down):

Even if that "1170282P" on one of the slide plates is the serial number (it probably is), there's no central database of Standard sewing machine serial numbers, so a range of 1900-1910 is probably a good guess for this vibrating shuttle.
