Found this little beauty at Goodwill this morning. It was sitting in the shopping cart seat outside the production room door waiting to be put out with all the other items. I've been finding that first thing on Monday morning yields some great things lately. At least at this particular store. This piece isn't marked but the quality speaks for itself. Really lovely decor and shape with zero damage and minimal wear. Some early pieces are not marked prior to the McKinley Tariff Act of Oct. 1890 which implemented raised duty taxes and country of origin stamps on imported items. I've seen this exact shape with a different decor so I have no problem about the missing mark. Morimura Bros. purchased many pieces as blanks and then they would have been sent out to be hand painted by talented local artists. -Mike-
