I lucked in two weeks ago at the Salvos with two perfume bottles to add to my Setsuko Ogishi collection. This is the second of them. It too is marked OM 95 and retains its original gold sticker. I suppose they were part of a collection or bought at the same time.
The O is for Ogishi and the M for Yataka Mizuno her husband, I think. This mark is used for limited edition pieces created at the Ogishi Craft Centre in the Hunter Valley north of Sydney, established there in 1987.
Setsuko's work reflects her Japanese background, strongly influenced by the Australian lifestyle.
It really is a chunky piece ....
It weighs 1.115 kilos or 40 oz.
H: 15 cm or 6".
