    Found this at the GW yesterday
    19" tall

    Thought it would make a beautiful plant stand. (Which I thought it was).

    After researching this morning online it's supposedly a Meiji period Japanese satsuma garden seat.
    Which I'm no expert only going by some I found online.
    I laughed so hard when I sat on it because it's just too small for this American girl.
    Definitely not going in the garden! Will be used as a planned.

      I like mine better than the one you mentioned above in the link...
      On mine the men are only on the seat part and the women & children on the body.

      Jeeeez look how much they are asking for that one!!!! Crazy!!!

      Yes, that will put a big hole in the budget! The men being the central design on the seat area brings up all kinds of thoughts...haha!

      What a find, and a great investment, as well as beautiful. I agree, and my first thought was, the Japanese ladies must have been very dainty to sit on these! :)
