I haven't posted any Murano for a while, so I thought I'd share these with you guys. This is a nice pair of Murano Blackamoor figurines circa 1950. They're a good size measuring 14" H x 8"W x 7" D. It's not often that you find a matching pair (which is how they were meant to be displayed). Unfortunately, throughout the years they become separated. Thanks for looking.
Oh, I really love these!! Very beautiful.
Thanks so much for your kind comment and love Scott, and thanks for the love Caper!

A true pair Rick. I love that green, really unusual colour.
Thanks Karen, I'm not a big fan of green but I love this shade. I guess it's the white glass underneath that gives it a softer look!
Love them!! Love the pair, love the Green Color !! Stunning Pieces Rick!! Gotta love Murano!!

I made a new friend recently. He has an unbelievable Murano collection, and has an identical pair to yours. I thought you would like to know that he calls his the same name of Blackamoor, and credits them to Barovier & Toso. Just trying to give you some info, as you have imparted your knowledge to me countless times.
Thanks Deano. I wonder if the friend of yours is the guy that bought my pair and currently has for sale on eBay. After buying them for me, he's listed them as Barovier and Toso, but I don't believe they are. Having owned them and seeing and holding them close up, the quality just isn't there. They're nice but just not the quality of B&T. I appreciate you thinking of me though.
His name is Tom, I don't know about the eBay part. Maybe I'll take a look over there, you've piqued my curiosity.
Yeah Deano his name is Tom. He's a nice guy. I sold him a couple of pieces not too long ago. I also sold him another sculpture that he had misidentified, but I sent him the references so he could correct his listing. On ebay his name is astroman03.
I think I missed these 1st time around! I love, love them. I just got some candle holders I'll post, nothing like these, but they are pretty. I've got one polished. One to go but they are small and not all brass so it won't take long.
Thanks Q :) I love any kind of Murano blackamoors... I always marvel at the talent it takes to put one of these together.
