I pick up this paperweight at the goodwill today, and was struck by the fact that it was made in Bermuda and had a nice older 1966 coin set in it.
The coin has some type of poly lens set over it. There's a few small chips on the top of the wood.
When I got home I started oogling Cyril S Smith and came up with an excerpt, and only an excerpt from the book Mark Twain in paradise.
The excerpt reads......which the woodworker Cyril S. Smith regularly embeds in cedar paperweights for the tourist trade.
There was also one on ebay to which the seller states "not many of these pieces come to market''. I emailed them but no reply so far.
If anyone has any further info towards piece number 2 of my ' Vintage Bermuda group collection', please let me know. Maybe someone has read the book and recollects something of this nature. That'd be cool.
Here's a link to the other one. http://www.sekaimon.com/us/86922/Paperweights/221888255286/
Thanks Sean. I'd like to further add it has some weight to it, like it has a metal core or the wood itself is very heavy.

I have one also that I found at Goodwill a few years ago. I remember finding the excerpt from the book while I was trying to find any info, but found nothing else.
