So do I (as a kid). My mom burnt her bra and went back to college, and my dad painted all our walls purple in the house. I just sat at home watching and waiting for another episode of the Banana splits :)

LOL.....Yeah, remember when we had ORANGE and Yellow wall paper on the walls.

At least we know we grew up with the BEST Music -- as the Kids now still listen to our Great Hits from Back then....LOL

Omg. The wall paper. We had the fuzzy orange stuff, and of course, the entirely advocado kitchen with the faux brick wall behind the sink.

Well, thank god for good old collectables. I have one plastic thing in my home, and it's this computer lol. I think I have an old soul like many of us here :)

You could always rely on at least two fondue pots for your wedding shower, and another crept into the wedding gifts. I think it was the "go to" present when you either couldn't be bothered, or think of anything else. I'd never heard of a "wedding shower" or a "baby shower" until I came to Canada. I let everyone know that my preferred colours for my wedding shower would be orange and brown!

This would have fit right in with my parent's yellow appliances back in the day!
