The state of my collection.

This is the deplorable state my collection is in at the moment, due to a lack of space. Probably have to wait until the children grow up for a half decent place to display my hats. Yet I find there's also something strangely appealing about this informal accessible piling of items. They somehow seem more alive, more connected to their former function, less removed from the real world.
This cramped space, however, is also an adequate way to keep my collectors zeal somewhat in check. It forces me to focus on one or two confined directions my collection will go, which alleviates a little the agony of choice.
