My friend gave this to me the other day. He in turn was given this from a friend of his about 30 years ago. I am not sure if it is Chinese, Japanese, Korean or whatever. Would anyone know the country this would be from and what it means? Thanks for your help.

The framing style, sorry .... this auto correct thing is a nightmare... I am quite particular about my spelling. I apologise.
