Help, can anyone tell me is it Chinese? Is it Japanese? There are no marks of any kind. There are 9 porcelain dish pieces in a square wooden lacquered box, no lid. The bottoms are unglazed and most have rust staining on the bottom. I have learned that Asian porcelain gets rust stains on unglazed feet with age, but I can't find any information on dating. I would appreciate any help / information. Box Measures 11 " x 11 ". Thank you for your help.

Doing lots of research - I think it's imari ?? and maybe old?

Ok, more info - it's called a "sweetmeat serving dish " still can't confirm if it's Japanese or Chinese or the age. Others I found were mid to late 1800s

thanks jondal. does it have a sticker or signature anywhere? i think it's Japanese 1900-1920. i heard that a lot were made in that timeframe.

ho2cultcha - thank you - there are no labels or marks but there is rusting on the unglazed bottoms, which i have read occurs naturally on very old porcelain. Early 1900s is a possibility, I have also gotten an age estimate of mid to late 1800s and Japanese from a local collector. I am very much a novice in the Chinese/Japanese porcelain area, but I do love the hunt.
