This is an old city street lamp under the name "NOVALUX" was made by the GE Co. near the 1900's, I will be restoring it. This mission lamp is sitting on a mock-up of a "green" table project built from recycled materials. This green glass lamp was once ran by oil, I was told it was converted to electric in the 1930's. I found this brass floor lamp in a old warehouse that was used for restoring old juke boxes. I bought it for $300. I have a small collection of lamps and some that I'll build and show later.
koolstuff, it appears that you have a great eye. I would really like to see better pictures of the floor lamp base. Your street lamp is very nice and your oil lamp is a common one, but very decorative. I have one myself. Thank you for sharing.
JohannB Thanks!! , I'll add some new photos of the floor lamp, It would be great if you and the many others out there showing their items could meet under one roof in a "show off" show.
That street lamp was on our streets growing up in Oak Park Illinois. I think they might still be there since that is a very historic village.
