Found in New Zealand. I enjoy Copier's abilty to put a vase within a vase. This one dates from around 1936. The thick walls surround a space that resembles another of his designs. This mark is used on his Serica pieces.

      vetraio50,

I have wanted to tell you [and also scandanavian_pieces] how much I enjoy seeing your collection. You have shown such unusual and beautiful pieces and made me aware of a new world of vintage glass and crystal by such talented artists. I'm going to retrain my eye to look more closely from now on, thanks!

In case you don't have this site bookmarked, I found it a great reference, particularly for obscure marks. It's Style and Design in the UK and here are the Leerdam and A. D. Copier marks on their guide to glass page. There is a photo of your etched mark at the end of the Leerdam section:

Many thanks for your kind comments, solver.

I too have enjoyed reading your work on resolving some of the problems put up by the CW. Your work is thorough, insightful and is as readable as a detective thriller.

Your work for Seagulls was amazing.

hi nice object ( i think its in the 1936 sales catalog) its the KN1759 and it used to cost 3.25 guilders http://www.nationaalglasmuseum.nl/collectie/resultaat/weergave/record/sjabloon/fotozoom2?id=gla%3Acol1%3Adat73351
    8. vlkma238412 vlkma238412, 12 years ago
3.25 guilders was what stores had to pay ( shipping and insurance was also aded to that)

forgot 1 euro is 2.20 guilders and a small bit

im trying to find out what the average wage was in 1936

Thanks vlkma238412. I apologise that I have only two pictures of the vase, I should have put more in. I did this a a year ago now. I will take some more photos tomorrow. I agree it is an interesting object.
This one is a bit different to the KN1759, it has a smaller hole at the top, like the KN1754. I've seen at the national glass museum designs for "cut away" versions of this vase called KN1991:
      http://www.nationaalglasmuseum.nl/index.php?option=com_memorixbeeld&view=record&Itemid=25&id=gla:col1:dat39897&tstart=
But my vase seems to be a variant. I appreciate your help. I should have put some other photos of it in a year ago.

It does have so many facets that I bet a hundred photos wouldn't capture it all.

Many thanks Heinjan! Leerdam travels the globe. It follows in the footsteps of Abel Tasman and Willem Janszoon. We have a large Dutch expat community here in Australia!
