While our Salvation Army isn't the treasure trove it once was I still find a few "goodies" every now and then. Case in point this large and quite heavy (3-5lbs.) Robert Eickholt paperweight. The 6" diameter disc shape has a flat surface for standing upright and another ground surface on one side for lying flat. The stunning "Moon Jelly" design is a very subtle pale blue with iridescent flecks that sparkle in blue, gold and violet. There is also a lot of controlled bubble work used as well. The whole design creates a very "holographic" effect. It's signed "Eickholt 1990" on the bottom. Can't believe this was priced for so little. His work is very collectable and I have a few of his smaller pieces which are just as beautiful.

Thanks Karen ..it is a stunning piece of glass work. I've never seen anything this large either. Most of his work is the standard round or egg shaped pieces. :)
