Here it was with all it's glory. If only it could tell me where it has been. The journeys! the people! I loved it. It came home with me to start a new journey in it's life. It has leather with a symbol like a star. I cleaned and used leather restorer to the ones that could be saved. The others I removed in the biggest pieces I could. The leather handles have a K stamped on them. Only one handle. I would really love to know more about this trunk. If anyone could tell me who the maker was. What country it was possibly from, I would much appreciate it. I love my new treasure and hope to come across more on my Journeys.
Trunk enthusiasts will surely pop up and help, welcome to CW :-)
Nice trunk. I do not see any sort of makers label or tag, so you can't find out who made it. I can tell you it is not American, and most likely was made in Great Britain or possibly Canada. Most likely made around the late 1890's. Hope this helps,
Jim

Thank you Jim. I have visited your site over the past week and enjoy reading the amazing information you have posted. No there were no labels or makings. Only a k on one of the leather handles. In your photo gallery "treasure waiting to be found"
I thought it looked very similar. Thanks once again.
