Hello again CW friends!
As you may have just seen my mid-1800's tooled leather valise, this would be the original interior of that trunk. To my surprise it's still in really nice condition, after cleaning out many years of dust and dirt.
As you can see, this one has the drop down panel inside the lid, which I'm usually accustomed to seeing inside the Jenny Lind trunks.
I couldn't go without posting a picture of the hand wrought brass lock and hasp. Though the keyhole cover has been broken off, at one time or another, it's still a beautifully handcrafted lock.
