It seems it is verboten to call this post 'Cats'
From the left,
A black and white stripey cat.....pretty enough but no pedigree.
A clear glass 'flatback' cat by Lisa Larson for Royal Krona Sweden
A Czech spatter glass cat labelled 'Jaros'...... me neither!
A classier cat altogether. Millefiori and silver foil inclusions on a ruby red base. Sold as AVEM......I'm doubtful but have no experience to go on.
The second image shows their backs.....if they have one.
Love these! One of my sisters collects glass cats and has many. I even think she has the one on the far left.
Hi iggy, I'm not surprised your sister has many......that's the nature of collecting!!!
these are wonderful and loved your other postings of the paperweights!!
I love these. The clear one look like my 15 year old crazy cat when he is about to attack me. LOL Just albeit the tail hackles turned up.
These are gorgeous....love them all!!!
Hi SEAN, thank you......just thought I'd have a change from my usual stuff!
Hi OGF, We took in two black kittens once. Smoke always sat like the clear one and Soot always sat like the red spotty one.
Thank you TassieDevil, love your comment :)
Thank you for the loves, iggy, aura, SEAN, OneGoodFind, TassieDevil, Justanovice, Michelle and knockwood.
These are totally purrfect sklo42. The Lisa Larson one has just the right expression for a cat.
Thank you Gillian, you nailed it.....the Lisa Larson one is my favourite and a keeper.
All of them are lovely!!!
So glad you like them, Martika :)
Great group Peggy.
Who made the funky blue? Is it modern Czech?
The first one is similar to a bird I have which I suspect is Chinese. Mine is a fantastic piece of glass and your cat looks great too.
Can't help with the last - it is definitely high end Murano though.
Hi Karen, the blue one is modern Czech, post 1993. One result in a google search linked Jaros to Zelesny Brod.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were Chinese.......all sorts of creatures suddenly appeared on ebay here in this white striped front/black striped back format.
Thanks for telling me the last one is high end Murano......that one's going to my sister in law who likes it. I'm having a clearance......
Aww lovely. I can't resist glass animals, any animals actually. I love the black & white moggie :)
Thank you, Fran. Whoever makes the stripey cat also makes other animals in that décor.
cutie kitties!!
Thank you SEAN :)
