This is an incredibly beautiful bottle. The pictures do not do it justice.

It does not appear to be underglazed. The enamel appears painted on top of the glaze. It is all red except for black for the dragon's eyes and a dark gold on the pearl/ball.

    It's 7cm tall.

It is as mysterious to me as it is beautiful. I plan to investigate the mark on the bottom, and find out more about it's date of manufacture.

I have found a different shaped bottle with the same design that was sold on Ebay Ireland from the estate of Henrietta Anthony of Quebec. Ms. Anthony had a passion for Chinese art and was well known in the area for being a top dealer and knowledgeable appraiser. The bottle listed was from her private collection.

Also there was a similar design 7" tall vase sold at Case Antiques in 2012. The link is here:

And the red dragon design can also be seen on a pair of wine cups here:

?????is a mark sign specially used during Daoguang period (1820-1850). This snuff bottle's color and design also resemble that period. It is a beautiful piece, indeed.

when it is an daoguang type in the abrevited form they probably use it the SHENDE TANG ZHI mark

or they put in the in the full kaishu way imo the right marks right under and the cross-hatch and dots design commits us to 20 century or early 20 century maybe

is this very disadvantageous yes it is but there is a lot of value left ,you get the value trough the back door because it is a snuff bottle in stead of vase , and the crosshatch and dots is quite well

it is snuff bottle in stead of a vase
