So baby steps into the world of Harrach 'Revivalist' art glass....
Here's what I believe is a genuine piece rather than one I posted 3 weeks ago.
I read Brian's (Project_Harrach) piece here: http://www.glasscollector.net/Blog/glass-notes/harrach-documented-1860-classical-period-vases/ and made a close inspection of the featured vases in his collection and although the vase above is not a matt finish. Just by a comparison of the illustration cross-hatching, colours, the fabric, hand and facial detail, I'm pretty confident that this is a Harrach Historismus piece.
The enamel transfer is extraordinary in detail, it is in excellent condition with only some very minor loss of detail.
Some of these pieces can be monumental, but this one is a little over 8" tall (Putti-sized)
looks to be in prime condition phil great stuff
Thanks Malkey, I'm hoping Brian will spot this, would really like his feedback on it.
Fabulous. I just adore cherubs :)
