These were my grandmother's.
Does anyone know anything about these doo dads?
They have to be old, my Grandmother was ANCIENT.
Trivets? I just learned what they are called a few days ago.
I've had them for at least 15 years.
I thought they were pot thingies.
Go figure.
WOW, a whole world of pot thingy people. I never knew.
I have a few of these from my grandparents, I don't know about value you but I wouldn't think they were quite that old.
I just said that based on the costumes in the art work. What do I know. Thanks for the reply though. :)
Viking? sigh... that wasn't very informative :/
Any markings on the back? google it, I'm sure you'll find more information.
No markings just Made in USA on a couple. When I goggled them, I couldn't find any that looked like these. That's why I posted them here. :)
Someone will know I'm sure. Thanks though.
These Motto Trivets date to the 1950s-1970s and were sold by many of the foundries of that era- John Wright, Wilton, Emig, Iron Art, etc. Most weren't signed. They were made in both cast iron and aluminum. They're fun to collect!
You can check out ebay if you want to see if they have any like this to compare them to... there are about 285 pages posted just of "trivets". Hop that helps. ThriftyGypsy
My grandmother had one of these, would make it fairly valuable to me :)
