I found this one Craigslist and thought it was odd enough to look into. It's really rusty and rough but it's solid and everything is there and in reasonably good shape but the handles and one of the drawers.

This maybe one of the patents for this style of wall trunk.
Drill, I think you're right on. Of all the wall trunk patents I've seen that one is the closest to this trunk. There were a about a dozen wall trunk patents from the 1890's to about 1905. I'm surprised we don't see more of them now. Nice find!
