Some more shots, this time in the dining room. The first shot houses a showcase with a rare cardboard hanger, and a selection of coke hutch bottles. The second photo shows the overall dining room with posters and 1920 stained glass shade. The third shot shows some small items like tip trays and pocket mirrors, and the fourth shot is a showcase with a complete cronology of coke glasses from the 1900 straight sided to the bell glasses of the 40's. Hope you enjoy!

You bum, the glasses are my collection!! I still love you though!! You forgot to tell them that the cardboard hanger is double sided. Double the pleasure!!

Yes everyone. BrainTonic is my wife. We have been married 27 years and we both collect coke memorabilia. Her speciality is the early Pemberton items.

Thanks Ray, I appreciate it. Yes I am very blessed that my wife joins me in my madness! You ( and you wife! ) have a very, very nice collection too!

I think what I like so much about this hobby is that no matter what your interest, from bottles, to 60's stuff, to paper, or machines --- one can put together a amazing assembly of items. And everyone presents them so differently. Seeing other folks collections has always been the funnest (is that a word) most fun . . . part of this hobby. Back in the old days, we actually used to visit peoples collections in person. Imagine that! I really miss that! So come one everyone send in pictures of your stuff. I want to see them! I am sure Ray shares my sentiments.

I just LOVE all you coke hutches, can you tell me what cities they're from? IT's been my dream just to see one in person, I came close in atlanta, but it was the year right after they finished the new world of coke, and didn't see any.
    6. cocacolakid97 cocacolakid97, 13 years ago
BTW, is that an original 1915 root prototype bottle??? or a repro?
    7. earlycoke earlycoke, 13 years ago
CocaColaKid - the hutches are the Biedenharn from Vicksburg, the other one is the "Property of" hutch (this one is absolutely perfect, it was found sitting on the shelf of an old shed in Rome, Georgia. Unfortunately, another person found it and I had to pay out the wazoo for it!. The other one is a Birmingham, also absolutely perfect. The last one is Chatanooga, but it has a little clouding. No the prototype is from the 65 anniversary dinner. I only know of three of the originals existing. The coke company had one, root had the other and a third one is hidden away in a safe deposit box. It is owned by an old bottling family, and no one knows they have it. Interesting story, I will tell you sometime. My collection is open to anyone who wants to stop by and visit. Like Ray says just make sure I am home! Seriously just call ahead, I love to talk coke with anyone.

Truely amazing stuff. Ray's got a new BFF!! Thanks for sharing, earlycoke. I should have known when you showed us that 1891 Coke card that that was just tip of the iceberg.

wow you have some great stuff how long have you been collecting
    11. earlycoke earlycoke, 13 years ago
Thank you. I began collecting as a 13 year old in 1975, riding my bike to antique shops and auctions. But, I began to collect seriously in about 1989. Its been a fun journey!
