Good Afternoon CW Friends Collectors----2:00 PM)2016-11-19
The Providence sometime have everything to do with some of your much amazing find, last week a Co-Worker ask me if i am willing to change a schedule shift with him due to a doctor appointment on the 18, sure i can do that as peoples working together can work something on this, who know, this could happen to me one day, it's done.
No matter if I really don't like closing department, so I change my opening hours for is closing hours.
But hey, when i drive back home late at night, I spot a pill of stuff along the road, the same road that i found my first trunk a little more then a week ago, I have to mention, this is a concession road, so lot of farmer building in this area, this particular find(and many others thing post later) was not really far my first one, so i will keep take that road, because this start to be really interesting.
This Steamer Trunk is in immaculate condition, other then a small issue with one of the hinge and one handle, very nice inscription on the top from travelling, some geometric design on each side.
Original lining, look to be leather outside(not sure), paper inside, with lot of wear at the front bottom, some very nice "Cunard" label still on it to, the inside look very clean, I will say from the 50s.

Iv'e being warning before, and know for sure, that's scaring, as i could be addicted to trunk, i will not be surprise at all, I was before long time ago, in Quebec City, I am already very addicted to Glass as you know. :-D

This trunk stand 22.50 inch high, 35.50 inch long, 20.50 deep.

Many Thanks to Drill for is knowledge on dating this trunk, very much appreciated the help here.

    Many Thanks Everyone for Viewing.

Very nice Barreltop roadside find Alan. Yes I believe that Cunard line sticker is from the 1950s,I do have a hunch that it may be a bit older based on it's style hardware and overall interior drop down panels and exterior embossments..I'm thinking early 1900s.I do think that it may not be the original lock hardware as it seems awkwardly mounted.
      Thanks for the post.

What a great find Alan! I guess you can use these new trunks to pack away dome of the glass filling your house lol.
I like the writing on it still; it really gives some of it's history.

Drill, my apologize for the late respond.
I do appreciated that you take some of your time to comment my post, Thanks for all the info, that's help in my new passion.
I have many, many trunk in the past in Quebec City, they just not this kind, i find more flat primitive trunk at the time, like Canadiana Late XVIII century, and also some on legs with a V moulding.

      Regards
      Alan
