This radio was designed by Raymond Loewy for Emerson. It is a tube radio circa 1949 with a Bakelite case. It is 11" x 8" x 7". It is supposed to work although I haven't checked it yet.
Looking inside the handle area the tubes can be seen. Usually there would be a removable back on radios like these to replace tubes. This one could only be accessed from the base. It is a bit more stylish than the typical case.
