I got these prints a few months ago and couldn't find anything about them with a Google image search. There were prints, but not like these.
I think they're Egyptian Revival Prints. They look like they're silk screened, and are large, about 24"x 20" each, in about 32"x 26" glass covered frames. The frames look about 1970's type, but I can't tell the age of the prints, and haven't removed them from the sealed frames.
Has anyone seen something like these, or know what they are? Any help is appreciated! :^)
Great news vetraio50 has found where these prints came from, and here's the English translation of the Book:
MONUMENTS OF EGYPT AND NUBIA, ACCORDING TO THE DRAWINGS ON THE PLACES UNDER THE DIRECTION OF CHAMPOLLION-LE-JEUNE, AND THE AUTOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS THAT HAVE WRITTEN IT; PUB. UNDER THE AUSPICES OF M. GUIZOT AND M. THIERS ... BY A COMMISSION
It was hard to photograph these without getting a reflection, so outside with blue sky, but sorry about a little tree shade across them.
Thanks for looking, and the love! :^) aura, and cindB
Happy New Year! ! !
Hey Bonnie, thanks for stopping by, and the love! Happy New Year to you too! :^)
Back at ya, bill! I think these prints might be tourist items,
They might be, but there are plate numbers on them, so part of a set?
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!
More than Revival I believe. Three pages from a book by Jean-François Champollion and Lehoux, Pierre François (1803-1892) was the illustrator of these images.

They date to 1835-1845 and were printed in Paris by Didot Frères.
It looks like these are three of sixteen plates from the book.
I'm EXCITED !!!!

vetraio! This is GREAT! Thank you so much for finding this information. I searched when I got these, but could never find anything like it, and gave up. I had no idea that they were that old. WOW! ! ! :^D One more time, the reason that I really like the Collectors Weekly site!
HAPPY NEW YEAR is right! Thanks again!
Here's the English translation to the title of the book:

So now the question is, are these reproductions, or taken from the book?
I suspect that they are the real thing.
I'd be having them looked at carefully.
Thanks again vetraio, I think I'll get that done, soon!
Great find!!! I'm envious!!! :)
Thank you martika, when I bought them I thought they might be something special, but didn't think that they could be as old as they might be. I haven't had the time to have them checked, or appraised, being retired I just have too much going on! :^) LOL
well how did it end !
Thanks apostata, I know where they are, and that's a Good Thing around here! :^D
Thank you for the love! :^D
When I first posted this I had no idea where any of us would be today, but in the middle of a COVID-19 pandemic, what a nightmare! Please Wear a Mask in Public and end this! :^)
