Back in the 1960's, my father and I were fishing from our boat, "The Black Jack", up on "The Old River", in the California Delta, near Tracy, and the Island that he was raised on. While casting toward the levee shore, we(I) :^) got tangled in some tree branches, so my father ran the boat close, so he could untangle the line. When we got there, he noticed some pottery sticking out of the mud levee, so he tied the boat to the tree, jumped to the levee, and dug out the pottery, and pulled out a vase, very much like the one you have. I still have the vase! It had a large 3/4"x 1/2" chip off the top, otherwise perfect. Over the years, it was broke, and my father glued it back together best he could. I'll take a picture of it, and post it. With the story again.
