I found this odd spoon at the Flea Market this past weekend. The seller didn't know anything about it. It's unmarked, and after I cleaned and polished it, I saw that it is silver plate, and what looks like a mother-of-pearl handle. I don't how old it is, but found out that it is a cheese scoop, with a Google image search for flatware service shapes. It just polished up so nice, that I had to show it off, with some other finds too! :^)
Thanks for looking, and I'll try to answer any questions that you have
Thank you for the love FA! :^)
Such great photos!
The spoon is the coolest of your flea market sweep, but the hammered plate with daisies is very cool as well. Is it pewter maybe, and are the daisies made of something else?
Nice finds!
Such a beautiful display you have put together there Bill!! Everything is just lovely!!
Love the spoon , forks & knives ; very nice finds .
Thank you all for the love! :^) It means a lot to me!
Thanks for the comments too! :^D
I try to keep um interesting Bonnie, thanks!
Thank you Karenoke, the scoop was a nice find for sure, but badly tarnished when I got it. The tray was just $2. I have so much aluminum, but I've never seen this daisy/mum. pattern, so had to get it for the price, in great condition, its Continental hand wrought #531.
Judy, you're so kind! I couldn't put the cheese scoop there without some cheese, and one thing lead to another! :^D My way! LOL
Me too, Pat, Thanks. I bought the forks and knives for my wife, for use in making a wind chime, but I think they're just too nice for that, now! :^)
