Hello CW friends and fellow collectors!!
This is my red miniature Dachshund statue. I really love this one. It's very highly detailed, right down to the glass eyes, and very nicely painted. Even the little toenails are very detailed. The look on her face is so lifelike that she almost looks real!!
She was issued by the Danbury Mint, I believe in 1991, and the Danbury Mint has long since retired this one. The Danbury Mint also issued this in a black and tan male as well.
This little Dachshund is 13" long and 7 1/2" tall. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
I nearly ran to get her a doggie treat. :-)))))
Cutie!!
Same! Lovely (quiet) doggy ;-))
Bonnie,
Thanks so much! Our little Dachshund Carly keeps running to it and forgetting that it's not a real dog. So funny!
Kyra,
Thanks!! When friends drop by they think she's real at first glance.
Thomas,
Thanks! So glad you like her!
I actually thought she was real in the first picture. Fab x
Me too - Thought was Real!! I bet you have a name for her too?
I bet she listens on command very good too -- like:
~ Stay There
~ Don't Move
~ Quiet now
~ ~ ~ LOL ~ ~ ~
When I first glanced at the picture I thought it was a real dog! - Pretty cool!
Love the 1st photo Scotty the way she's looking as to say here I am with those melt your heart puppy dog eyes. Looks so real:)
Wandlessfairy,
Thanks! She does indeed look very real.
Rose,
I don't have a name for her, yet. She minds far better than our real Dachshund:) Our little dog Carly still doesn't understand the word "NO".
Thanks Ken!!
She is pretty cute, if I must say so myself.
Scott,
How lovely and so life like!!! I can just see your baby Carly snuggling up to it!!
beyemvey,
Thank you!!!!! Believe it or not, her back leg was broken in three pieces when I got her. But, she repaired pretty nicely.
Thanks Roddy!
As Bonnie stated, she makes you want to go grab her a treat:)
Thanks Judy!!
We don't let Carly get near it. We actually keep this one on a shelf. Carly would be trying to chew her up:) She's chewed on just about everything. I got her a rubber teething bone to chew on and that has seemed to help.

Very realistic detail.....superb piece
Thanks Kerry!!
It is very realistic for sure. That and the detailing is what drew me to this one. Thanks again Kerry!!
Oh, I see Scott......chewing, I had forgotten puppies do that!!! Hope she will be a fast learner for you!!
Judy,
She's going to be chewing and biting on a lot of things (including me) for some time yet. She's going thru that teething phase and she wants to bite on us a lot. But, we've been trying to break her from the biting.
Thanks Kurt!!
She does indeed!! I'll be sure and give her a good scratch:))
Love that Dachshund breed
Thanks ttomtucker!!
We've had three smooth coat male Dachshunds(all passed away now) and just got a new long coat female Dachshund. We love 'em too!

Amazingly real looking! What's her name?
1st. pic really shows her curiosity and sweetness....awe.
Thanks Karenoke!!
Unfortunately, we don't have a name for her. I did find out that she was issued by the Danbury Mint in 1991 and has since been retired. I'll think of a good name for her:)

jscotto363, we had two red short hair doxies one male and one female, the male lived to be 14 and the female until she was 16 years old. we sure miss them.
Awe, she's adorable. I'm thinking Ms. Rose, Brownie, Weenie, Carmela...lol
Alan,
Thanks so very much my friend!! She does appear to be real!
ttomtucker,
Our Black/Tan, named Chipper, lived to be 16 and Fritz, our Chocolate Dapple, lived to be 14. Max, our other Black/Tan only lived to be 2 years old. He got a disease and the vet was unable to save him. We miss them all immensely!!
Thanks so very much Tonja!!
I'l definitely take you up on one of those names. We shall name her Ms. Rose, after our CW friend Antiquerose!!
