One of the items on my hit list had been a Loetz floriform vase. Right before Christmas, a seller on Ebay listed two of these. I wasn't willing to pay his price, and although the listing didn't allow offers, I made an offer anyway which he surprisingly accepted. I've seen these identified as either Candia Silberiris or Clutha, so I'm not certain what to call the decor. It's a nice size measuring 13 1/2" h and has a 8 1/2" pan. Thanks for looking you guys!
Very expressive piece of glass Rick the form being so organic plus the incredible iridescence !!!!!!!!
Rick,
That is an absolutely incredible looking piece!!
Thanks so much Malkey and Scott, I'm glad you guys like it! Also, thanks for the love Kurt, Kerry, Jim and Craig, it's all appreciated!
I love the foliage around the base, Rick. It adds to the feeling that this is a flower, more than a JIP, and possibly a sunflower noting its size!
It is a beautiful piece to marvel at.....

@Peggy... I agree, the vines and leaves differentiates it from most JIP'S I've owned, and in my opinion, gives it a more authentic look.
@Fort... Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
@Bijou... Thanks so much I do consider it a special piece.
@Silvia... Gracias me alegro de que te guste.

Oh Rick - this is a crown jewel in a collection - just stunning!! I am so happy you were able to get it - thanks for sharing it!!
Thanks so much Michelle! I agree about the crown jewel, but it seems like every time I get a new piece, that one becomes my favorite. LOL
What I love most about it? The unconventional way you acquired it, of course!!! haha bet that surprised you when you got the answer back!!!
LOL, very surprised Susan :-) Thanks so much, you know I appreciate your input!
Nice, I make offers all the time...
Thanks Kralik. Usually when sellers don't list with a "make offer" option, I've found they usually stick to their asking price, so I was pleasantly surprised when he accepted it.
Thank you Jean, I'm glad you like it :-)
Thanks so much for the love Karen, Spirit, Ivonne, Thomas, Official, Celiene, Michelle and Roy, I appreciate the support!
Beauuuutious Maximus.....
I never really had much luck with vases always seemed to break or chip them. I must say though this is an excellent piece Rick. Your posts and other fellow CW collectors vases and other super pieces have given me a new insight into their fine craftsmanship and true beauty:) Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for the fine comments and love Roddy and Truth, and thanks for the love Radegunder, I appreciate your guys continued support :-)
@Roddy... In my early days of collecting, we used to keep everything out on tables, counters, stands etc. and suffered numerous mishaps. I've since started putting everything in curios... much safer that way LOL.
I too have learned so much from being a member of CW. I find things such as the history of glass, methods of manufacture, references etc. fascinating and wouldn't know half of what I know if it wasn't for other CW members.
