    Columbia 78 RPM record about the sinking of the Lusitania. The record was released May 20th 1915, less than two weeks after the sinking on May 7th 1915 when 1,198 of the 1,959 on board lost their lives do to a torpedo fired from a German U- boat.

      She was carrying munitions and therefore a legitimate target. Germany publicly posted these facts in the U.S. newspapers. Passengers who boarded knowingly gambled their lives and lost.

      I disagree. The passengers could not have known, and the Germans only suspected. The fact that she did carry munitions was suppressed, and only verified when the wreak was discovered.

      The Germans knew & their published warnings are an easy find. Facts were suppressed by Allied gov't. lies.

      Seen an exhibition on the RMS Empress of Ireland . 1012 killed when it sank in the St.Lawerance May 29 1914 in 14 minutes after a collision with an other boat. This was a bad era for the ocean liner.
