Canvas and Leather Wooden Trunk

I Have no information on trunk's history. It's very worn and in poor condition. The leather tooling was ornate but is almost all deteriorated and missing. There is a leather envelope pocket on the inside lid. The trunk is made of wood and covered with a canvas material. Any information about it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.
