    This large trunk is about 3'x2'x1.5'
    The red may be leather. It is braced with metal straps and wood slats. It originally had a tray that set inside. I am curious as to the time period, maker, and any other info available.

      Hey Deepseas72, well obviously a flat top, I would say late 1880's to 1890's or so, looks like it could be embossed leather under the paint, without a makers label its almost impossible to say who made the trunk
