These are Luminarc Arcoroc Cavalier Ruby Red Goblet Glasses with Crystal Stems. Made in the 1970's by J.G. Durand (Luminarc) of Verrerie Cristallerie dArques in France. They are also sometimes called Luminarc Arcoroc Dinnerware.
They are barrel shaped, ruby red bodies, with crystal stem bases. Each base has a molded France in tiny capital letters on the bottom - the Luminarc mark. They are just over 4" high, and 2.5 wide. The color is stunning, these have always been my favorites, even if they are kind of common.
Love these!
I have several of these. But I also have four that are the reverse colors. Clear on top, red stem. They have the same imprint on the bottom. Have you ever seen any of these? I cant find any others like them online.
Curleyfaye - I have FOUR of the reverse color. Let me know if you are interested.
The FRANCE on the bottom of my four coffee mugs is backwards. Does this mean anything?
