This is my favourite piece of Vincent's crested china.

It's a Mark IV or V tank, with initials HMLS, for His Majesty's Land Ship, and a number 130 on the side.
The crest is for Edinburgh with it's motto, Nisi Dominus Frustra, which loosely means Without the Lord we are in vain.
The other side has a great print:
    The Victory of Justice
    Armistice of the Great War
    Signed Nov 11 1918
The British Tank Gave Them Hell At The Marne 1918.

Like the cannon piece this is Carlton China W&R Stoke on Trent.

Oh I love figural pieces like this, Karen! Born and raised in a seaport, I can appreciate what this means. Charming and nostalgic, with the bit of military history which makes it significant. Very special decor, thanks for sharing. :)
