      Hi from Sydney Australia!
      I love the plate!
They look like very stylized dolphins! I may well be wrong, but I think you may have an Italian majolica plate. The colours are quite beautiful. How large is the plate?

My reading of the signature is S. Marco. (St. Mark).

Check out the signature and other Italian signatures and companies at this Italian site: http://www.archivioceramica.com/FABBRICHE/S/San%20Marco%20Porcellane.htm

This may all be to no avail, but I hope I have helped. But thanks for sharing this lovely plate.

Thanks for the link. There is a lot to look through there.

The signature looks like it was made with an underglaze pencil or crayon. It may not be maiolica but an underglaze painting instead.

      Hi pierre123,
I have a large plate listed with the exact same signature , I thought it was Spanish but suppose it could be Italian , it was found with a few others with different marks !!
Take a peek through my listings
      Regards SD;-)
