I just had to show you folks this awesome vase/Persian rosewater sprinkler by Loetz, ca. 1900. It is very substantial (6" x 7.5"), has 12 lobes and is lavishly overlayed in sterling by LaPierre. I love the Art Nouveau swirls and the detailed poppy blossoms. And when the sun shines into the vase...WOW, stunning clear blue.
The vase is beautifully iridescent in shades of gold/yellow and has lines of silver running horizontally around it. It has more silver over top that swirls around. I couldn't ask for more, except that it were signed!
I filled the sprinkler with water to see what it could do. It dispensed an amazingly delicate stream of water in a very controlled manner. How fun is that!
7/2020: Found to be in Capri decor.

Thanks for the info Deb! I recently saw the same shape in a classic Candia Papillon so I was sure it was the real thing.
