Another eBay buy as I have found no trace of Neckerchiefs in the offline world.
This one I confirmed as circa 1960 as it has the slider from that era. Well I did.
Red seems to be the usual color for but there are also other colors such as blue. OK there is just read and blue as far as I know.
This has the red with yellow graphics. There are others that are red with just a bit of yellow trim on the edges. The one I bought displays better I think.
The neckerchief is not a mandatory piece of the uniform. But if a troop wears them they must all be the same. They can also be worn under or over the collar. For my display I think under the collar looks better. Norman Rockwell paintings had them over the collar. Easier to paint I think.
Woggle! I remember that now; big brother was a scout, and had a woggle.
Thank you very much racer4four. Got to have the woggle.
Thank you very much Thomas. It was new to me too.
Thank you

I remember my woggle...I was in green six!
Another nice Uniform what a great addition.
I still need to DIG out my old BS things, I know we had a blue neckerchief but it seems to me we changed them also have several sliders but can't remember what we called them, Woggle I don't recall but I do recall I had 20 merit badges on my sash at a time when you needed 21 to be a Eagle Scout however it seems that was when I discovered drugs LOL oops
Thank you very much GeodeJem. Glad I could bring back memories of your woggle.
And thank you very PP. Sliders are USA. I did see belts with merit badge sliders with one for video games. Do not know if they had one for chemistry. Or drug testing.
A chemistry badge I could have passed the test on not so much for drug testing ;p
now a days it would be the opposite
Thank you
