A wonderful Harrach Seaweed vase in the possibly rarer amethyst ground with bronze/brass fitments. It really is a super piece and the Seaweed pattern, created with flaked aluminum, really zings off this vase, perhaps more so than on the light blue and pink pieces more often seen.
24cm (9.5")
oh my goodness that's totally scrumptious the sparkle really adds to the luxuriousness of the piece and the metal mounts set it off beautifully great stuff Phil
yeah - scrumptious is definitely the word for this one! Thanks again Malkey!
We have a nice mounted example of this decor in the pink... with Griffins on the metalwork.... Peggy loves pink glass and collects Griffins......
The purple is quite breathtaking.... I can not let the wife see this!!!
haha...It's kinda pinkish though isn't it - yeah better not show it to her!!
I'd call it a medium royal lavender. So, a happy intermediate. LOL.
It's utterly gorgeous! A vision in heliotrope, in my opinion. :-)
Absolutely love this piece!

Thank you Pat!
Chip that metal crap off - haha
You purist you..!
To echo others..it's drop dead Gorgeous. Love that purple!
Thanks Fran!
Great piece Phil! I'm with Kralik on this one, get rid of the Crown : )
It's actually 'detachable' I'm sure it's not meant to be - but it fell off when I was cleaning it - so all good, but sort of unbalanced without it actually - I've gotta leave it on, after all it's had it's crown a long time...
Fabulous!! vase Phil, an amazing colour, love it!...:-)
Thanks Penny. A day after I got it and had a good look at it there was a couple of minor areas of damage and I actually made arrangements to send it back to the seller - he agreed to accept the return - refunded my money and then told me I could keep it! Which wasn't a bad result really.
