    Picked this up two weeks ago and forgot about it. That is until I was cleaning off my kitchen counter. Good thing as it actually works, so far I have been fun sharpening my kitchen knives along with opening a can or two. Not bad for something made in 1956. According to the You Tube video I am going to post this was the first successful electric can opener made. Although he says that is the model 58-H.
    It was made by Union Die Casting Company in Whittier, Ca. They should have stuck with this design looks much nicer than the later models.

      I remember winning an electric can opener in the late 60's or so. Love this one.
