Beautiful design I love it ! It is done in what I call Craftsman style or more often referred to as Arts and Crafts slag glass lamp . 1900-1920's The inlaid cross is unique
Love this Mission style lamp, and Mission style furniture in general.
I changed my post from Mission to Arts and Crafts But I actually see them as same :-)
Great lamp, and very nice gift chancer16, and welcome to CW! :^D Thank you for posting this! :^)
Beautiful lamp. Could you please give me the dimensions of the shade of this lamp -- I have a number of spare shades and one of them might have come from a lamp like this one. It appears to be square, so if you could give me the dimensions at the bottom of the shade (length and width -- although if it is square, these will be the same!!), the dimensions at the top (of the top piece)(again probably square) and the height?? Thank you!
Welcome to C.W. :)
This reminds me of some lamps i saw as a kid at the White Father's Abbey or St. Joseph's Seminary on Saranac Lake. It was formerly Stony Wold Sanitorium. My great uncle Vic retired there after being a missionary and building/running a hospital in Central Africa for many years. Stony Wold was loaded with amazing Arts & Crafts pieces. This lamp looks like some i saw there. I was very young though, so don't remember it all that well.
