Here is a very nice water-colour over a photograph of Pike's Peak, Colorado, from the early 1900s.

I found it thrown on a book-shelf at one of my favourite thrift-stores, which means someone else almost purchased it, didn't want it, and committed the shop-and-drop sin we who work in retail greatly despise (really, people: Why do you put stuff where it doesn't belong at the store?) They dropped it off about 4 feet from where it actually belongs, which is with the other pictures.

No frame. Signed, but signature is illegible.

A nice find, though they knew they had something as they charged a high price of $2 for it.

If it is of interest, the run-on sentence beneath the image says, "Pike's Peak, Looking Across Alto Pass, Colorado", and the signature looks something like Haulley, but that is a best-guess.

That's certainly a beautiful scene. And quite a bargain I might add. I've been to Pike's Peak only once and we were only allowed to go to the 14 mile marker due to a severe snow storm. It was in the month of July!!!!

Thank you, jscott0363. When I saw it, I couldn't believe it.
I'm sure you had great fun romping in the snow? Christmas in July!

Very nice little? painted photograph SpiritBear, just figuring size by writing on it. What size is it?
      Thanks for posting! :^)

Bryan, why do you like it so much? I'm thrilled with it, of course, but you seem even more so? LOL.

Bill, just over 6.5 inches is the painted part.
