Found these two at a thrift store. Likely taken from books.
What annoyed me was that person mounted them in their nice mattes with TAPE. I was horrified, because tape is so unprofessional. Worse, they were put in sunny areas, as the matted portion was lighter than the visible portions, which darkened as UV kills paper and fades ink.
Using a sharp blade at an angle and careful, close peeling, I safely removed the tape, but it left its mark. One had been mounted before with low-quality tape that yellowed and permanently damaged the paper.
One has 1829 printed on it. Another has a penciled in (more recently?) date of 1761. Both are on very old, quality paper and are real engravings. The publishers and printers on each do mach up with their dates.
But I don't know if they're both c. 1829 or if one is and the other is indeed c. 1761, taken from a book printed then in which the person was kind enough to write the date on the back.
Nice find SpiritBear, they look like Currier & Ives prints, but they were later, and mainly United States Locations I believe! :^)

Billretirecoll, thanks for visiting. These were English prints that made it to Scotland where they were framed before they made it here to America.
You must have access to one collector's dream of a Thrift store!!! That would never happen in Phoenix!! Are there no professional pickers in your town--or is that you! The art you are finding makes me think t=you need to be on the lookout for when Antiques Roadshow will be in the area!
Post-Card Collector, there is one in particular that is very good, but some weeks it's junk. 99% of stuff in it is junk. I just happen to know what I'm looking for. LOL.
As for pickers, I know none here.
Antiques Road-Show may have knowledgeable people, but the prices they quote are beyond credible. Maybe the at-best value in mint condition with a great story, but cut the values in half and maybe you can start talking serious business. LOL.
