Hello CW friends and fellow collectors!!
This would be my bronze English Foxhound. He usually stands guard on our front steps, so I sort of forgot about him. Though he's not old, he is highly collectible.
I really like his stance. He's really very detailed and he's also life size. He stands 26" tall and 36" from front to back. He's hollow, but weighs in at 30 lbs. He was cast using the lost wax method at a foundry in Virginia.
Hope you like him as much as I do. And thank you all for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
Quite realistic and does not require walks.
Looks beautiful Scotty.
Thanks Thomas!! Glad you like him.
fortapache,
Thanks very much! Nope, he doesn't need to be walked, he doesn't bark and I don't have to worry about feeding him:)
Thank you Roy!!! Much appreciated!!!
Ohhh Scott, what a treasure. I think he would be welcome here in sunny Spain, I'm sure my dogs would love him.
Thank you Jean!!! I'm sure he'd love it there in Spain, as would I. My niece spent the summer of 2014 in Barcelona and didn't want to leave.
Thanks Gary!! He's the largest bronze in my collection. The wife won't let me keep him indoors. So, I have to keep him outside. I fear of him being stolen though and he was far too expensive to be getting stolen.
Yes Scott, Spain is a wonderful place to live, I can't believe I've been living here for 11 years. Before Spain I was living in Mexico City I absolutely loved Mexico, unfortunately I had to leave for personal reasons. I still go back to meet up with friends, Mexico as a very special place in my heart.
The artist really captured his fine detail and alert Stance Scotty. Such a great Bronze in your awesome collection!
Thank you Roddy!! I wish I knew who the sculptor is. This one is not signed.

I came to this thread the other day and was getting ready to post a comment, then was distracted and never got back! Meant to say that he's so realistic, wonderful work, and so charming!
Reading the comments I see that you live in Spain, but used to live in Mexico. It's so cool that we have a place like CW to come together and share our treasures and our lives with our friends. Wishing you a great new year, Scott. :)
Hi Katherine!
Thank you so very much! Actually it's Peasejean55 that lives in Spain. I'm actually in the heart of Kentucky. Right smack in the Bourbon capital of the world. Happy New Year to you!!
Oops, yes, I see I got mixed up there, sorry about that! ;P
Dog-gone-it you really pulled a lot of rabbits out of those hats
Yeah Stuff!! That I did. I may have more dogs now than I do rabbits and hares. Thanks friend for stopping in and for the love as well. Always appreciated!!!
