I picked up this little Stool? at a yard sale, I asked her where she got it she said, "at a yard sale." I think it is hand carved because the legs have no joints, the beads are either glass or plastic and they are in the wood...can anyone tell me anything about this item?
It is probably African, do a search on eBay for African Beadwork Stool , auction 140551284537 is similar in appearance.
I wonder how they apply the beads? From the photo it looks like they are actually embedded in the wood.
It looks like a beaded massai stool.
