This has been sitting around the yard for about the last five years. It is a Sears Craftsman Model No 121-8191 manual push edger. I was told when I bought it that it was from 1930. I have not been able to find information on it yet but 1930 seems reasonable but with those steel wheels it could be older, maybe newer I do not really know.
It still works well although the blades need sharpening. But as I don't have a lawn it isn't all that important

I remember the sound of the whirring blades cutting grass from my childhood. A very pleasant sound, much unlike the roaring lawn mowers of today. I guess we all wish for some memory of the past!

Thank you very much cindyjune. It is a bit nicer sound than a power mower.

Cindyjune, you obviously weren't the one pushing those bloody things. LOL ! I now view them as torture devices. Luckily, motor driven ones came along and rescued me after a very short career of cussing them. I think that's when I learned to cuss ! It's an art that I can now do in at least 5 diff. languages.

bb2 here it is uphill (or downhill) so there is much more of a challenge.
