What a nice Day it was at The Northern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire, at the Casa De Fruita, in Hollister, California, on opening day Saturday September 16th 2017. It was in the mid to upper 70's all day, with a light breeze. We tried to get there early, by 10 o'clock, but like always, it's easier said, then done, and by the time we got on the road, after going back for the tickets, we left on the refrigerator at home, it was 9:45am, and still 1 1/2hr. drive to get there, but we made it, and our oldest son, and new daughter in law, turned into the parking lot at the same time we did, so it worked out well, being they live 50 miles from us!
Once there, we had a snack, and a Guinness, to toast the Day, and went in the gates. We like to leave food and drink, at the car, to supplement, what we buy at Faire, just to cut costs, a little, but always have to buy extra, Faire food and drink, but this year there were NO STICKY BUNS, our favorite start of the day treat! :^(
The first picture is my wife and I,
the second picture is our new daughter in law, our oldest son, and younger son,
the third is the Queen Elizabeth, and her Court, of the Faire,
and the forth is of some hand made pottery wares of the Faire!
All The Faire's A Stage ! ! ! :^D
Thanks for looking, and all comments are welcome! :^)
Bill, these pictures are just great! You and your family look fantastic, well done! It would have been such a fun day I am sure:-)
Thank you Judy, and it was! :^D I've been going to the Faire for over 40 years now. When our sons were born, I made a wooden cart, and would push them around like Royalty, and figured when they got older, they could wheel me around, as I drowned myself in Guinness, but hasn't happened yet, I'm still wheeling them around so have to pace my Drink! It's all good though, family time at the Ren-Faire! :^)
Thank you all, for a look, and the love!
Judy

Very cool! The Renaissance festival is here in SE Michigan right now. I hope to make it there. My girlfriend and I have dressed up and gone to it before. Great Fun!
Great Looking Family Bill! There is nothing like a good ole Nor-Cal Renaissance Faire!
My top 3 favorite things, are the Beer, the Turkey Legs, and the Fair Maiden Wench Cleavage, not necessarily in that order. LOL,,,,Great Post!
Thank you Mani, it is worth the drive, and we've always enjoyed it! :^D
Thanks for the love too! :^)
I've seen pictures of the one in Michigan iggy, and it looks nice! :^D I think that I would feel funny not going in costume, but maybe that's because it takes me six months to grow my beard for it! :^{)>
Thanks for the comment, and the love! :^)
Hey lzenglish, thank you so much, and I think so too, on both! :^D
That sounds about right for me too, I like to mix it up a little, but sometimes that's eating a beer, and staring down a turkey leg, well when my wife catches me staring at the other! B^o
Thank you all for taking a look, and loving it,
