1st restoration/redo

This trunk was given to me by a family member who didn't have room for it. Unfortunately it had been completely spray painted in gold with black paint on the slats and hardware. Under the paint when I got it all stripped I found rusted tin. So I almost quit for the umpteenth time. Then I found this site and fell in love with some of the work people have done on their trunks and resolved to finish. So the tung oil has barely soaked in and I already have another one on its way. That's the one that I need to ask some questions about when it arrives so I thought I would join and say hi and then post about the new project when it arrives.
