Harrach Hekla Décor part I

Harrach introduced the 'Hekla' décor in 1902, the clear glass has an opale inner case and is partially covered by deep red, blue and green coloured opake glass flecks enhanced by irisation. My vase, décorated by a high relief gilded enamelled mistletoe branch, is exhibited at the Passau Glass Museum, too and shown in 'Das Boehmische Glass 1700-1950' vol.IV.346 page 195, where the décor is wrongly cited as 'Jaspis'. Jan Mergl corrected the décor name to 'Hekla' in 'From Neuwelt to the whole World, 300 Years of Harrach Glass' pages 311.370 and 317.382. The 'Hekla' décor is one of the most prominent contributions of Harrach to Art Nouveau and is usually highly saught for.
