I ended up with this thing about 20yrs ago, while helping my then-landlord clean out after a neighboring tenant moved out. I don't have any idea what it might have been originally intended for...laboratory glass, agricultural/livestock equipment, industrial kitchen machinery, or ???
Included the Pepsi can in the 1st pic as size reference, it is about 15-1/2" tall and 7" across, made of rather thick heavy-duty clear glass. Its 'nipple' end is ground flat and about 1-1/4" at its widest, and the only marking is "MADE IN U.S.A." just above the 'nipple'.
Does anybody happen to recognize what this thing is truly supposed to be?? Nowadays it just sits decorating a shelf in my kitchen, but it'd sure be fun to know what it really is?? :-) :-)
gravity embalming tool...have one!

WOW gargoylecollector -- I certainly wouldn't have guessed *that*, but it does look spot-on like the one in the pic you linked??!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for solving the "mystery"!!! <applause>
Now I guess I should see about finding/making a ring and stand to hang it up from...I bet it'd be fun to use it to dispense "drinks" or something...?? <lol>
drinks???????????lol!!I would hate to think of the chemicals that have went through that! And you are very welcome!
Yeah. clean it first before using it as a dispenser. That's one way to slowly enjoy a margarita or martini!
Oh of course y'all -- it'd get a *thorough* sanitation before such re-use. :-) And speaking of drinks which could be dispensed from it...well, this one seems highly appropriate, methinks...?? <giggle>

gargoyle -- is yours posted here somewhere?? I'd love to see what the real hanger hardware looks like up close??!! :-)
AnythingObscure,
I suspect you are correct about this also. Google photos of 1920/1920 operating rooms and you may find another :)
