    Was probably mounted in a box, or cabinet. ELLMORE & SON MAKER THURMASTON [Which is in England.] Probably late 1800's, or early 1900's

      I saw a W. T. Ellmore & Son, they made cane and wicker products, so if you consider the supporting pieces and framing tends to be rounds, the brass ring part would make sense to accommodate the piece.

      That does make sense. I have found some pix's of their wicker furniture. They are no longer in business. I sent an e-mail to the Thurmaston Chamber of Commerce. No reply so far. JOHN

      My take is they didn’t make the locks... the company that did added the custom nameplate for each of their clients.
