Seed green is a somewhat uncommon color for Loetz - it usually has a glossy finish and is used as one of the ground colors for the Ausführung 129 decor, which adds silberiris applications, and (sometimes) colorful enameled decoration (see small example in photo #3). This shape is attributed to designer Franz Hofstötter in Loetz Bohemian Glass, Band 2 (Paper patterns for glass), but in the recently published paper patterns in Loetz Series II by Lnenickova, Hofstötter is not mentioned. The original idea may come from the fact that this production number falls squarely in the middle of a range of production numbers designed by Hofstötter (II-7830 through about II-7938), and that it resembles generally some of the other Hofstötter forms (long tapering shape that is cinched in one or more places on the way up). At any rate, this form dates to around 1911 - near the end of the Loetz/Hofstötter relationship. Whether this is actually one of his designs is not a 100% certainty, but there is circumstantial evidence to suggest it.
